Congress Wants Potentially Incriminating Toyota Memo
Mar 09, 2010 - By Chris Weiss
Congress is still hard at work attempting to protect future generations from the force that calls itself Toyota. Legislators are now trying to get Toyota to turn over a 2006 memo from some of the automaker’s union workers that expresses safety concerns. The memo, first uncovered by the LA Times over the weekend, expresses concern that Toyota was taking dangerous shortcuts that could detriment safety and quality. That sounds a little like hot, smoking gun tossed into the river.
Toyota reportedly never responded to the memo (I’m guessing they wish they would have).
New York’s own Representative Edolphus Towns wrote in a letter to Toyota: “If senior Toyota officials ignored important safety concerns raised by their own employees, it calls into question Toyota’s corporate priorities and its commitment to safety.”
Things just don’t seem to get any easier for Toyota. [via Inside Line]

Toyota and others knew they were having issues and attempted to hide it. All Car Companies should have came forward with a full disclosures of what car were dangerous. So be careful
