Chrysler Dealers Struggle To Get Financed
By Chris WeissIt hasn’t exactly been a great year to be a Chrysler dealer, and in continued struggles, some 145 are in peril of disappearing into the night. According to a Bloomberg report, the dealers in question are struggling to meet the financing terms set forth by GMAC, which took over when Chrysler Financial left the building. 85 dealers have been refused outright and another 50 or 60 are currently negotiating with GMAC.
Nearly 800 Chrysler dealers have already been terminated in the midst of Chrysler’s well-publicized bankruptcy dealings, and it looks like it’ll get worse before it gets better. [Bloomberg via AutoBlog]
