By

In anticipation of this week’s LA Auto Show, Chevy has provided the details on the 2011 Chevy Cruze. Much attention has been spent on creating an efficient yet visually-appealing vehicle. At the helm, two four-cylinder engines will be offered–a 1.8-liter Ecotec offering 136 horsepower and a 1.4-liter turbocharged Ecotec that adds two equine stragglers to the pen. Those Ecotecs will team up with six-speed manual or automatic transmissions. The Cruze is expected to offer up to 40 mpg.

The Cruze will come in LS, LT and LTZ packages and will get a host of features including electronic stability control, six-speaker stereo with MP3 playback and aux jack, and soft-touch interior components. The Cruze will base at $16,000 and add-ons like satellite radio, heated leather seats and OnStar will be available. Expect it Q3 of 2010. [via WCF]
