Chevy Caprice to Become a Police Car

Related to the discontinued Pontiac G8, the Australian-based Chevrolet Caprice sedan has officially earned its badge. Chevy has confirmed that as of 2011 the Caprice Police Patrol Vehicle (PPV) will be driving around North American neighborhoods near you, helping officers to dole out traffic tickets of all forms and degrees. The Caprice PPV is an oddity in that it isn’t based on an existing car sold in North America and has been designed solely for police use. The new rear-drive PPV will come in both V8 and V6 varieties and will include a variety of fancy law enforcement features such as touchscreen displays and seats designed specifically to accommodate bulky police belts.
