Cadillac XTS Platinum Concept Arrives in Detroit
Jan 12, 2010 - By Chris Weiss
Formerly known as an eerie, bluish headlight, the Cadillac XTS Platinum has moved beyond teaser to full-fledged concept at the Detroit Auto Show. The all-wheel drive hybrid sedan features a 3.6-liter direct-injected engine paired with a plug-in hybrid propulsion system. Gas and electric combine to create a tantalizing 350 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque.
In what promises to be a glimpse into future Caddies, the instrument panel features a “dead front” design, which remains black until the car is turned on. The interior also features suede with laser etching.
Before even opening the door, the XTS mesmerizes with its distinct, vertical headlamps, broad front end and 20-inch wheels. [via Inside Line]
