Porsche Boxster Black Boxster Goes Black For New Porsche Special Edition

It’s the Boxster S Black Edition, the latest limited-run Porsche to hit the scene. As you probably figured out, it’s black all over: Porsche got rid of many contrasting elements and replaced them with black ones. You get blacked out air intakes, safety bars, roof, exhaust tips and Boxster Spyder wheels. Inside, there’s a blacked out instrument cluster, leather SportDesign steering wheel and trim. You’ll still get a little contrast in the cabin thanks to aluminum and stainless steel accents.

Giving a little more substance to the Black Edition, Porsche adds 10 horses to the 3.4-liter flat-six, giving it 320 hp and cutting its 0-to-60 time by 1/10th of a second (4.9 seconds with six-speed manual, 4.8 with seven-speed PDK). The model also benefits from the inclusion of Porsche’s Design, Convenience and Infotainment packages.

Porsche will offer 987 examples of the Boxster S Black Edition, with prices starting at $65,200. [via AutoBlog]
