BMW Officializes the 335is Coupe and Convertible
By Chris Weiss
We first saw a glimpse of the 335is two weeks ago when information leaked onto the Web. BMW followed up with pictures and has now filled in all the details (and more pictures).
The 335is will make its debut at the New York International Auto Show and will feature a twin-turbo 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine worth 320 hp and 332 lb-ft. The engine will be connected to the driver via a six-speed manual transmission or optional seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. The latter will feature launch control, which enables a 10-second torque upgrade to 370 lb-ft.
The 335is will get M sport upgrades including M aerodynamic body parts, larger airdam for cooling and high-gloss-black grille surrounds. Inside the 335is is distinguished by sport seats, M sport steering wheel and stainless-steel sport pedals, among other upgrades.
The 335is coupe will start at $50,525 while the convertible will carry base price of $59,075. The cars will hit the market in late spring. [via Inside Line]
