BMW Concept Gran Coupe Shows its Face in China

The Beijing Auto Show has had no shortage of interesting concepts. The latest one to grace our home page is the BMW Concept Gran Coupe. The four-door includes a variety of distinct features like the vaulted hood with forward-facing lines, a longer wheelbase, coupe-style roofline and short front overhang. BMW describes the intent of the concept: “the BMW Concept Gran Coupé carries the essence of brand values and the genes of BMW design into the future.”
Rumor has it that the Gran Coupe is already scheduled for production as the 6-Series Gran Coupe, a four-door that will go head-to-head with the Mercedes CLS. For now, we must be satisfied with a visual tour around the car, from the LED third brake light to the flattened, kidney grille. [via WCF]
