Behind-the-Scenes Look at Travis Pastrana Mt. Washington Run
By Chris Weiss
A reader astutely pointed out my ineptitude last Friday when I posted a video clip on the Travis Pastrana record-breaking Mt. Washington run. That video was of Frank Sprongl, the previous record-holder, not Pastrana. On Friday, I could only find a useless, 20-second clip of Pastrana’s run, so I had to leave up the Sprongl video to give readers a full idea of what the climb is all about.
Well, today, there is some proper video of the behind-the-scenes preparation behind Pastrana’s run, as well as point-of-view footage up the mountain. It’s surprising how much team-based prep work goes into making the run.
The video is definitely worth the five minutes if you enjoy fast cars, world records, twisting mountain roads, wide-sweeping vistas or all of the above. [via Motor Authority]
