Jeep Dealer Auto Sales Strengthen During Month of October

According to J.D. Power and Associates, the month of October will represent a significant turning point for auto sales. No, the sales aren’t going to rise–a 6% year-over-year decline is expected–but the decline is the lowest seen since May 2008, outside of a Cash-for-Clunkers boost this past August. The 816,600 total units sold represents the only single-digit decline for nearly a year and a half. During the month, pickup truck sales experienced an increase from September thanks to steady fuel prices, advertising and incentives. J.D. Power estimates that total sales for the year will reach 10.3 million. [via Motor Authority] [Photo: The Consumerist]
