Audiovox Launches Mobile TV For Vehicles
By Chris Weiss
Tired of watching your collection of A-TEAM DVDs on long road trips? Broaden your in-car entertainment horizons with the newly launched Audiovox FLO TV Auto Entertainment System. The system is designed for new cars and will offer FLO TV’s live, mobile TV service. Unlike those boomerang antennas from two decades ago, this system features a tiny antenna and seamless wiring so the only thing you’ll see is on the screen. Systems are now shipping to car dealerships nationwide.
Back in October, Chrysler announced that it would be the first car company to offer mobile TV in its vehicles.
Isn’t amazing how new devices can completely refresh outdated technology. Many of us can’t stand watching what’s on TV at home, but put it in a shiny, in-vehicle package and staple a sexy brand name to it and suddenly people must have it. Or at least Audiovox and FLO TV hope so. [via Engadget]
