Tony Stark Contest Audi Names Its Next Iron Man

I’m not so sure that one Natan Linder will ever be as debonair and successful as Tony Stark. His name certainly isn’t as catchy. However, he is just as innovative, in the eyes of Audi.

The MIT graduate student took home the top spot in Audi’s Tony Stark Innovation Challenge, raking in $15,000 of funding for his invention, a track drive in the Audi R8 and a variety of spa treatments and wardrobe upgrades to make him look and feel like Tony Stark.

So what’s so special about Linder? He created LuminAR, a light bulb with Web connectivity that is capable of projecting the Internet on any surface it shines on. Linder boasts that the technology lets you have Internet anywhere you want it. With Wi Fi, 3G/4G, cell phones, tablets, netbooks, notebooks, etc. I’m pretty sure we already have Internet anywhere we want it. But, LuminAR is definitely interesting, although of questionable utility. See more in the video after the break. [via InsideLine]
