Aston Martin Releases The Rapide ‘Luxe’

Rich people just need to feel special don’t they. And despite the fact that one is probably the only one driving a regular Aston Martin Rapide down the highway at any given time, if the parking lot to the yacht club or polo match is filled with them, then it’s just not exclusive enough. In other words, the Rapide is no longer that special.
Never fear ye’ of heavy wallets and low self esteem, Aston Martin has something a little more exclusive for you: the all-new Rapide Luxe. The Rapide features some new design touches inside and out. But more importantly it’s more expensive and more exclusive than the standard, ‘ol Rapide. And isn’t that what rich folks that buy into these types of cars really want?
Let’s hope so, because the Luxe doesn’t bring any performance advantages and offers only minor exterior mods–things like exclusive exterior colors and bright-finish grille. Inside, Aston rolled up its sleeves a little higher, adding custom leather, walnut trim, rear entertainment and a 1,000-Watt Bang and Olufsen audio system.
And so you feel just as special when you leave your car in airport parking as you do when you’re in it, Aston throws in a six-piece set of matching luggage.
No word on the price premium for the Luxe, but it will certainly be worth it for those that place exclusivity above all other car-buying factors. [via WCF and Auto Express]
