Aston Martin Drops Some Pictures of Its Tiny, New Cygnet

We’re pretty confident not a single Aston Martin driver or fanatic has ever lied awake at night day dreaming about a tiny, subcompact urban commuter. In fact, we’d bet a year’s salary on it. Unfortunately, some designers at the automaker apparently have. And thanks to them, we get the Cygnet.

In developing the concept, Aston made over a Toyota iQ with distinctive Aston Martin flare. And they managed to create a whole lot of wrong. The wings just don’t belong on this pug-nosed little putter.

If you can get past the heinous exterior, you’ll be treated to a beautiful red-and-black leather interior. But that exterior is difficult to get past.

The good news is that it’s just a concept. The bad news is that Aston Martin really digs it and intends to produce it next year. Luckily, good news gets the last word–it will be Euro-only. Bullet dodged.

No indication of price, but we’re sure it’ll be more than anyone should ever spend on a hideous urban commuter. [via AutoBlog Green]
