Primed for the Geneva Motor Show, the 2011 Volvo S60 is now official. Not holding back in PR-speak, Volvo is calling it the “most dynamic car model” to ever roll out of Volvo’s garage. Looking at it, it’s clearly not your grandma’s Volvo.

The dynamics are brought in part by a choice of chassis, which includes a comfort chassis and optional sport chassis in North America. The options are differentiated by softer front and rear dampers on the comfort variant.

The North American S60 will get an upgraded T6 3.0-liter six-cylinder worth its weight in 304 horses. Torque will max out at 325 lb-ft and the engine will push the S60 to 62 in 6.5 seconds with the help of a six-speed automatic Geartronic. All-wheel drive is standard with the T6.

The Volvo also comes stuffed to the brim with advanced driving features including Advanced Stability Control, Corner Traction Control and Pedestrian Detection.

Early summer has been designated for S60s hitting the dealerships. [via egmCarTech]
