2011 Porsche Cayenne Hyrid S Makes Its Big American Debut, Pricing Announced

The New York Auto Show marked the first time that the Porsche Cayenne S Hyrbid rolled its tires on American soil, and we were there to capture the new Cayenne. In case you missed it at Geneva, the S Hybrid features a combination of 333 hp supercharged V6 and 47 hp electric motor. Those two combine for 380 horses and 427 lb-ft. An eight-speed Tiptronic transmission provides shifting and a decoupling clutch allows drivers to run on pure-electric for short distances at up to 97 mph.
The S Hybrid helps the Cayenne line cut fuel consumption by 23 percent.
The Cayenne S Hybrid will arrive at U.S. dealers this fall with a starting price of $67, 700.
