2011 Lotus Elise Previewed

Lotus has released some information and pictures of its upcoming 2011 Elise ahead of its Geneva appearance. The latest Elise is a slight alteration from the current model and will come in three different specs: the standard, R and SC. The base Elise will feature a 1.6-liter Valvematic engine while the latter two will include 1.8-liters. The SC engine gets supercharged. The 1.6-liter powerplant delivers a reduction in emissions of 13 percent.
In terms of looks, the most obvious change is the integration of the LED daytime lights into the main headlights, which creates a cleaner look. An altered front fascia and wider rear bumper also help to update the Elise’s look.
Other changes include the addition of cruise control and new cast wheels in silver or black. Prices will be announced next month and shipments will begin in April in the U.K. [via WCF]
