2010 Volkswagen Golf GTI Gets Official, Prices Revealed

Probably the most interesting vehicle in the Golf lineup, the new 2010 Volkswagen GTI has been officially introduced in both 2-door and 4-door trims. Running on a 2.0L turbocharged direct fuel injection 4-cylinder engine, both models sport 200 horsepower and 207 lb-ft of torque. Mated to the engine, there’s either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic DSG with Tiptronic and Sport mode, taking the new Golf GTI to 60mph in 6.8 seconds and 6.7 seconds respectively. Along with showing off the new model, Volkswagen also took time to officially announce the prices. The 2-door 5-speed manual model will run $23,489, while the 6-speed automatic starts at $24,589. As for the 4-door version, it should start at $24,089 and $25,189, respectively. [via EGMCarTech]
